Google this!

Last night I got a call from a former colleague who introduced me to a potential photography job. This morning I arrived at this project solutions company and they laid out their plans. Their main focus (no pun) was to get full-bodied staff shots at Google. Next thing I knew, I was at Google Singapore. Neato Burrito! And YES, they do have a relatively large pantry with free food and drinks! So of course I helped myself to a Snapple!

Would be great if I was tasked the project. It was already exciting being there... lots of positive energy from all the staff. Imagine if I had to shoot them. :p Splendid window view of Singapore! Closest thing to Imagineering in Singapore! :O)

Ala Peanut Butter Sandwiches

It went well! Both kids and parents enjoyed the show. My hunch is that the parents who were there were more excited. :O) I video taped my show for personal quality control checks, but guess what? I forgot to switch on the SOUND on the external microphone...

Well, until next time... POOF!

Those magical words...

It's been a long time. But tomorrow's the day! I don my cape and top hat to entertain 60 little kids at a German school in Singapore. Then again, I may not fit into the costume I once wore many many many years ago. :O)

The bigger issue is looking for the right magical words. I've always loved "Ala peanut butter sandwiches" from Sesame Street's Amazing Mumford. Then again, I don't know if there's any copyright issues. "Sim-sala-bim", "Alakazam" and "Hey presto" are just too common. Well, common at least in the magic circle. If you got ideas, throw it in...

Till I appear on stage tomorrow... Poof!

Right place, right time

Guess what breezed into Katong yesterday? Some of us are at the right place, but at the wrong time. And sometimes, the wrong place, but at the right time. At around 6pm on Sunday evening, I was there at a place where both elements intersected, plus I had a camera! All the way from the south western ridges of Singapore... is the Annual Giving Bus! What coverage for them!

Another Slumdog millionaire experience I had was when I dropped off photos at a client's place somewhere near Mount Vernon last Friday. When I asked if he'd moved there around 1990, he said "YEAH". I used to frequent the place as my dad's office used to be located there. His office was to ship out as the government was planning on building public housing there. So that was what Jamal felt when he answered those questions! Jai ho!!
